Coral Reefs Conservation

501(c)(3) public charity · Since 2013

Reefs off South Florida are worth the work.

Environment and Coral Reef Conservation Foundation is a small Miami-based nonprofit focused on South Florida reef ecosystems. We fund and facilitate small-scale conservation and education projects: beach and reef cleanups, outreach to schools and boating communities, and support for restoration partners working in Biscayne Bay and the Florida Reef Tract.

What we do

Foster homes, not kennels.

Animals waiting on adoption with us sleep in real beds, get used to kids and other pets, and arrive at their new family with a behavior profile built over weeks, not a label stuck to a crate.

Community Cleanups

Scheduled beach, seawall, and near-shore reef cleanups with volunteer divers and snorkelers in Miami-Dade and Broward.

School and Youth Outreach

Classroom visits and short programs for South Florida K through 12 schools on reef ecology, water quality, and what local kids can do.

Boater Education

Materials and workshops for recreational boaters on anchoring practices, fishing regulations, and dive etiquette on the reef tract.

Every dollar moves an animal closer to home.

Our budget is public. Over 91% of donations go directly to animal care, not overhead or fundraising.
